In one paragraph
When you send an enquiry, we collect only the details you choose to give us and we use them to reply and to help with the question you asked. We keep them for as long as we are dealing with your enquiry or advising you, and no longer than we reasonably need. We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we only share it with the small number of services that make the website and our email work. You can ask us at any time what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent.
What we collect: only what you send us
We do not require you to create an account and we do not track you across the web. The personal information we hold is the information you actively send:
- Through the enquiry form: your name, your email address, and anything you write in the message, along with any optional details you add such as a phone number or the programme you are interested in.
- By email: if you write to us directly, we hold that email and whatever it contains.
- Your consent: the form asks you to confirm that we may contact you about your enquiry and store the details for that purpose. We keep a record that you agreed.
The form drops obvious spam silently before it reaches us. If we ever turn on a spam-protection challenge, it is run by Cloudflare to tell humans apart from bots and is not used to profile you.
What we use it for
We use the information you send only to:
- reply to your enquiry and answer your questions;
- advise you on studying in Canada, if you decide to work with us;
- keep a record of what was discussed and agreed, so nothing is lost between conversations.
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not add you to a marketing list without asking, and we do not build a profile of you.
The services we rely on
Running a website and answering email means a few trusted providers process your information on our behalf. They are bound to use it only to provide their service to us:
- Website hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which serves the pages and receives your form submission so it can be passed on to us.
- Email delivery. Your enquiry is turned into an email and delivered to us through a transactional email provider. Your reply from us travels through our normal email as well.
Some of these providers operate servers outside Canada, which means your information may be processed in another country and be subject to the laws there. We choose established providers and share only what is needed to answer you.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry for as long as we are dealing with it, and for as long as we are advising you if you become a client. After that we keep only what we need for our records or to meet a legal obligation, and we delete the rest. If you ask us to delete your information sooner and we are not required to keep it, we will.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not follow you around the internet. The pages work with JavaScript switched off. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie to keep the site secure and running, and, if spam protection is enabled, a challenge may run when you submit the form. Nothing here is used to track your browsing.
What you can ask us to do
Under Canadian privacy law you can:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete it, where we are not required to keep it;
- withdraw your consent to us holding or using it, understanding that we may then be unable to continue advising you.
To do any of these, email us at [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
